Urban Plains Park is a part of a master planned development that encompasses 30 acres in south Fargo. The Park was designed under the principles of “New Urbanism” with neighborhoods being diverse in use and population and communities being designed for the pedestrian and transit as well as the car.
The park features a public sand beach along the pond, a waterfall feature, fountains, a sculpture plaza and walking and biking trails. Other planned amenities include a stage, and an amphitheater will bookend an open lawn bigger than a football field which will host concerts and festivals.
