ICON Sports Center

Grand Forks, ND

Growing participation in youth hockey and figure skating created the need for a new facility in Grand Forks. The city desired more practice space and the ability to host more events and tournaments. ICON assisted the Grand Forks Park District in a city-wide fundraising campaign to help fund a new facility. Through private and business donations, the necessary funds were raised to start work on a new arena.

ICON Sports Center has become the prime hosting location for local, regional, national, and international tournaments and skating competitions. The 91,500 s.f. project was completed on budget and within a 16-month construction schedule. ICON Architectural Group is committed to providing the community with great youth facilities that encourage youth to be active, and thus is the building's naming sponsor.
